Las Vegas is one of the few cities that go out of it's way to cater to it's locals. Most hotels, casinos, malls and restaurants, from time to time will offer deep discounts to Nevada locals.

The expansion and rising construction costs increased the project's estimated cost to $800 million, which would make it the most expensive locals casino ever built in Las Vegas. The project was topped off on March 24, 2005, at which point it was known as Red Rock Resort Spa Casino.

If you are one of those privileged people with a valid Nevada driver's license, State of Nevada government-issued identification card or Nevada Sheriff's Card, you are in luck. Those are the acceptable forms of identification to establish state residency.

Below is a list of discounts for Las Vegas residents. To take advantage of these Las Vegas locals discounts, all you have to do is present your Nevada identification card when purchasing your ticket.

Discounts for Las Vegas Residents

Clark County residents with a valid ID can purchase one discounted High Roller ticket for more than 50% off the original price.
Adult tickets are $13.00 during the day and $18.00 for anytime tickets.
Youth between the ages of 13-17 cost $7.00 during the day and $12.00 for anytime tickets.
Kids 12 and under always ride for free.

Every Tuesday, join the newest party on the Strip, with live music, special offers, discounts, and 50 percent off High Roller tickets for locals all day on Tuesdays at The LINQ. (with a Nevada ID.)

The Las Vegas Monorail offers discount tickets for Nevada residents.

Nevada resident fare is $1 per ride. Maximum purchase: two (2) single ride tickets per person per day OR one 20-ride ticket no more frequently than every ten days. Customers purchasing a 20-ride ticket may not purchase any other local tickets within the 10-day restriction time.

These tickets are available at all of the Monorail's customer service ticketing offices and booths upon presentation of your valid Nevada driver's license, State of Nevada government-issued identification card or Nevada Sheriff's Card.

Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily

There is no customer service office at Las Vegas Convention Center Station.

MGM Grand - Location: at the Monorail station entrances inside The Underground and The District: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday
